Little did I know it was going to be the first of hundreds and change the course of my entire life. In the early Spring of 2009, I recorded the first episode of Exploring Astrology. The sprout was now a thirsty plant requiring lots of water, sun, nutrients, and astrology books. So I moved in and the journey really began. At the end of it, I told him I wanted to learn everything he knew. And not long after this, I received my first proper Astrology reading. This gave some water and sunlight to that little seed which, by this point, had sprouted. There are a few stories in AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI that made me deeply curious. Not long after I learned of Sri Yukteswar, Yogananda’s guru who was an Astrologer. So to see we shared a birthday and to read about a few other May 24th characteristics, blew my mind and planted that seed firmly in the dark soil of my young Psyche. He inspired me to play guitar, to write songs, and to organize my world with poetry. I was systematically, quite carefully (like a good Virgo Rising), listening chronologically to all his music. The essential context is that I was currently obsessed with Dylan. It was somewhere in between those liminal years of 18 and 21 when I opened the BIRTHDAY BOOK for the first time and saw we shared a birthday. I believe the first seed was planted with Bob Dylan.
